I would like to begin by personally thanking each and every
one of you for coming here today. I am honoured to
represent the Ontario PC Party, I have come here today to
speak with you, my neighbours, about the Ontario PCs
Million Jobs Plan to help create jobs and get Ontario working
better.
We all have an important role to play leading up to the
election on June 12th in order to unite as one and better our
province. The PC Party understands what you and your
family need. Creating jobs, lowering taxes and reducing
hydro costs will benefit your family, our community and our
province.
For eleven years, taxpayers in this province have endured
scandal after scandal with the Liberal government: from the
alternate energy boondoggle which has doubled energy
bills; to the ORNGE air scandal which cost millions and
risked lives; to the EHealth debacle which cost a billion
dollars and produced nothing; to the cancelled gas plants,

which has led to an OPP investigation of the office of the

What has Liberal MPP Michael Coteau, our member here,
done for Don Valley East? * (Look around the room, hands
out) *
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath has had chance after chance
to support our Party in bringing down this inept and corrupt
government, yet repeatedly refused to do so. You are not her
top concern.
As a mother, a nurse, and a school trustee, I am shocked to
know Canadas unemployment rate rose to 6.9 per cent this
past March. Ontarios youth unemployment rate is almost the
worst in Canada, second only to the Atlantic provinces.
Youth unemployment rates are much higher than the
national average. This year, the unemployment rate for
Ontario youth was 17 per cent.
Having seven sons of my own, I know first hand the impact
the unemployment rate is having, not only on Ontarios
economy, but more importantly the future of our youth.

The Million Jobs Plan will make it easier for all people,
especially our youth, to get jobs in skilled trades. Our plan
will abolish unnecessary and outdated apprenticeship rules
and barriers that are limiting the number of job opportunities
in the trades. By creating these jobs, we will help kick-start
the economy.
Only the PCs have an action plan to create jobs and balance
the budget to get Ontario back on track. By voting for Angela
Kennedy and electing the Ontario PC Party, you are voting
for lower taxes and reduced debt to help create more jobs
and increase income.
The Ontario PCs plan to create nearly a quarter of a million
apprenticeship jobs in the next four years as part of our
Million Jobs Plan. We will support the creation of 200,000
jobs by allowing more students to train as apprentices.
In Ontario today, far too many people are out of work. Too
many families are struggling to live paycheck to paycheck.
Meanwhile, too many politicians are worried about their own
jobs rather than the jobs of Ontarians.

By voting for the PC Party, we can put Ontario back on the

right track. We all deserve a better Ontario.
We believe in lowering taxes and leaving money in the
hands of hardworking Ontario families. The Conservative
Party believes ensuring long-term economic prosperity from
Toronto to Timmons, from Kitchener to Kapuskasing, for both
blue-collar and white-collar workers.
The Ontario PC Party is dedicated to delivering on these
commitments. By voting for the Ontario PC Party, we can
move forward, working together to lead our country by a
government that will work with us, not for us.
Stephen Harper once said, a strong Canada requires a
strong Ontario, and our government will keep our economic
heartland moving forward. If you allow me the opportunity, I
look forward to working with you to move Ontario in the right
direction. Together we can make a better Ontario.
Thank you all again for coming today, I look forward to
speaking with you leading up to Election Day. I hope the
information I provided you with today will help you make an
informed decision when casting your vote on June 12th.

I am leaving here today with the goals and plans of the

Ontario PC Party, and what I know I can personally
contribute to the Don Valley East riding as your Member of
Parliament as I have as your school trustee, and as a nurse
for 30 years.
Elections are about choices, and on June 12th you can come
out to help make the right choice for Ontario. The Ontario PC
Party strongly believes in rebuilding the economy by creating
jobs and making Ontario affordable again. As your
candidate, I am not running to bring the government line to
you. I am running to speak on your behalf to the
government, voicing your opinion and making sure you are
heard.
A vote for Angela Kennedy is a vote for the Don Valley East
Community, for jobs and our economy!
