The flight lnatructor assumed control of the airplane and initiated a lest turn to return to the aizport. The aizplans touched down in a grassy area Perpendicular to taxivay Bravo, the nose landing gear collapsed, and the airplane continued across the Eaxiway, where it came to reat upright. Postaccident examination revealed eubstantial damage to the engine firewall.
