c) Design two questionnaires on the same topic, with 10 - 15 questions.

One
questionnaire should be closed ended and one open ended. Try to get 10 - 20
participants to fill them in, closed ended first. Use this data to help you to come to
your conclusions.
The questionnaires were given to current Access students to complete. Out of 18
respondents I can draw the following conclusions from the anonymous questionnaire with
closed questions:
Students that had/are having problems completing Study Skills assignments -15
Students that have not had problems completing Study Skills assignments-3
How much help students thought what they have learned through Study Skills would be
when they go to University

A lot - 0
A little - 4
Maybe - 4
Not at all -10

What students thought of Study Skills provision.

Very good - 0
No good 11
Okay - 6
Good - 1

Out of 18 respondents I can draw the following conclusions from the anonymous
questionnaire with open questions:
One respondent suggested: Having a presentation set before the proposed Study Skills
deadline would help/have helped with completing the presentation skills assignment. 2
other respondents also made this suggestion.
One respondent suggested: More organisation between staff and clearer deadlines would
be better
One respondent found Study Skills a : Waist of time
One respondent suggested: One in-class session to clarify requirements of assignment
would have helped with completing the ICT assignment.
