To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Bertha Zuno and I am a former parent of San Pascual Elementary School. I am
writing on behalf of Sarah Gilman, a former 6th grade teacher for two of my children. Ms.
Gilman one of the best teachers my daughters ever had and wish there were more teachers like
her.
Ms. Gilman had a way of communicating with even the most challenged students that needed the
extra help. She knew how to engage students, keep them interested in topics and showed respect
and understanding to all of her students. Ms. Gilman gave a very rigorous curriculum that
enabled students to take full advantage of the educational opportunities and guided them every
step of the way.
Ms. Gilman held workshops to engage parents in their childs education. She helped parents
understand the standards and give them tips on how to support their children at home. Ms.
Gilman earned the respect of not only students but parents for her efforts to help anyone with
their educational obstacles.
I give Ms. Gilman and strong teachers like her credit for my daughters success. They all have
strengths that were taught by Ms. Gilman that they carried with them throughout their college
experiences. Having more teachers like her will help build a stronger future for the next
generation of students.
