To Whom It May Concern:

It was my pleasure to have Ms. Christie as a student teacher
in my grade one classroom, throughout the 2012-2013
school year.
Morgans contributions to our grade one classroom were farreaching. Morgan cultivated strong relationships with all of
our students and they were eager to share their lives with
her. Morgan has a special skill for working with students who
require extra support within the classroom. Her gentle, yet
firm manner and clear expectations encouraged students to
take pride in their work.
Morgan also made a positive impression on the staff at Cecil
Rhodes. Her friendly attitude and collaborative nature allows
her to work well with all members of our staff.
Throughout her practicum, Ms. Christie planned many
wonderful lessons. The students were always eager to
participate in her activities and I know that many of these
lessons left a lasting impression on them, Ms. Christie was
also very reflective about her lessons. She made insightful
observations about her students and about her own lessons.
Morgan also has wonderful instincts about classroom and
routines and structure. She introduced to our class to snorytime (an after recess snack and reading time). This turned
into a wonderful addition to our room and provided our
students with some much-needed quiet time.
Morgan is very helpful and her willingness to provide
coverage in a nursery classroom was very much appreciated.
Morgan has been an amazing colleague throughout our time
together.

Ms. Christie made many efforts to be involved in the bigger

picture at Cecil Rhodes School. The parents of my students
were comfortable with Ms. Christie and communicated freely
with her. Ms. Christie also demonstrated initiative in
volunteering at board games club and assisting at Cecil
Presents (an evening fundraiser for junior high students.
Following her experience at Cecil Rhodes school, Morgan
travelled to Kenya to participate in the Me to We program for
three weeks. She has recently completed a year of teaching
abroad in London and experienced a variety of grades.
It is with absolute enthusiasm that I recommend Morgan
Christie for a position at your school.
Sincerely,
Tristin Woods
