For feed / effluent exchanger, the tubesheet and tubes in high pressure service need not be designed for full design pressure of the shell and / or channel provided these components can never experience these conditions. The same should be designed for maximum differential pressue expected. Designer must consider start-up. shut-down and emergency —depressurising while deciding maximum differential pressure. In cases where shell side pressure is very low compared to tube side, for stbsequent testing of tube bundle, additional facility like spare shell for testng shall be considered. 5.1.2.2. MECHANICAL D=SIGN PRESSURE FOR STORAGE TANKS AND ATMOSPHERIC VESSELS 5.1.2.2.1 Design pressure of storage tanks shall be in accordance with API-620, API-650 and API-2C00 (latest editions), as appropriate. 5.1.2.2.2 Blanketed storage: tanks shall have a blanketing pressure of 150 mmwec, unless a higher pressure is deemed necessary from process considerations. The design pressure of | blanketed storage tanks shall be determined to allow adequate overpressure for out-breathing and emergency relief devices. The blanketed tanks shall also be designed for 50 mmwe vacuum. 5.1.2.3 MECHANICAL DESIGN TEMPERATURE 5.1.2.3.1 For system operating at or above 0 °C, the mechanical design temperature ; “
