Amy Konys, Human Resource Manager
Bank of Washington
200 West Main Street
Washington, Missouri 63090
Dear Ms. Konys,
After working with the Bank of Washington since May of 2015, I am eager to expand my
experience and further my growth with the company. The opening of Branch Retail Director was
made known to me through the company email system, and I believe I would thrive with this
new opportunity. Along with my customer service experience, I received a B.A. degree in
Applied Management with a minor in Business Administration from Missouri Baptist University.
I have successfully completed my courses included with my degree and they would greatly
contribute to my success with the Branch Retail Director position. Along with in-depth and
valuable business courses, I completed Financial Accounting and Financial Management as well.
These courses, along with my past experience relate directly to this position. My degree in
Applied Management overall shows my capability of leadership in the workplace.
My banking experience, specifically with the Bank of Washington, has greatly prepared me for
this position. I started as a part-time Teller at the Villa Ridge location in the summer of 2015.
Through training and the helpfulness of colleagues, I soon realized the numerous qualities of the
company as a whole. I am already familiar with the many upgrades within the banks technology
systems, and becoming Retail Director will only increase my knowledge. During my time at the
bank, my customer service skills have also grown. As requested on the emailed job posting, I
have been in customer service positions since my first job at Schnucks in 2012. From that first
job, my customer service skills have only developed and improved.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss the position more in-depth with you and my interest to
continue my career with the Bank of Washington. I am available to interview at your earliest
convenience. Thank you for your consideration, and I am eager to hear from you.
Sincerely yours,

Ellen M. Ging
