@® sensenoncenine A Any Engineering SPECIFICATION FOR BEDD DEMONSTRATION 112 PSA UNIT AT VR Rev.No: 4 Job No. : A11226 Page : 26 of 47 DOG.No. : A11226-PR-10 Date of Issue : Oct 12. 2012 shall be the higher of the following, Tdes = 65°C Tes Tmax + 28°C Tdes = Trelief (excluding fire relief temperatures) Where, Tmax = Maximum operating temperature expected —_ considering different possible operations for the equipment or system, including air drying or gas drying conditions. Trolief= Temperature corresponding to pressure relief conditions for an operational failure case (specifically excluding fire relief case). 5.1.2.3.2 For system operating below 0 °C, the mechanical design temperature shall be equal to the lowest anticipated operati ig temperature. 5.1.23.3 For pressure vessels storing refrigerants or liquefied hydrocarbons at ambient temperature, the design temperature (based on depressurization) shall correspond to the coincident design pressure when this lowest temperature is, reached. The coincident design pressure can be different from the maximum design pressure. specified for the vessel depending upon tre system under consideration. However, if this calls for a change in metallurgy, then other fool proof stratecies to avoid this situation shall oe evaluated. Otherwise select the metalluray to suit the minimum temperature 5.1.2.3.4 For heat exchangers, consideration should be given to possible failure of cooling medium and resultant impact of higher temperature on tubes, tubesheets and floating head (inlet_maximum temperature). The design temperature is highest anticipated temperature in such an event. 5.1.2.4 STEM-OUT CONDITIONS
