Lesson Outcome
Students will:

Increase their awareness on the vulnerability of social media


Consequence, risks of posting in Social Networks in real life
How Social network can serve in positive AND negative ways
Learn proper terms in reference to Digital Citizenship
Create and perform mini-skits of their own original works about good and bad
topics surrounding social media

Materials required:

internet/projector
The Risks of Posting in Social Networks poster
Social Media Experiment clip
When Kids Appear in Mean Tweets Instead of Celebrities clip
Digital Citizenship video clip

Activities:
1. Short introduction on cyberbullying and effects of Social Media:
- Collaborative discussion on what students know about cyberbullying and
Social Media (10Min)
2. Presentation of videos:
- Show the clips and poster materials that I have prepared (Approx. 20 Min)
3. Creative group project:
- Divide class into groups, assign each group a topic (ie. Identity theft, cyber
bullying, ethica digital citizenship, etc) and let them come up with a
collaborative performance based on their topic. Also give them ideas for their
group work (such as improv, space-jump , tableaus, narrative story,
movement piece, etc) (Approx. 20-25min)
4. Performance:

Have groups perform and discussion afterwards. (20-25min)
