Objectives
Students will be able to:

Extend Vocabulary adding commonly used academic words.

Learn strategies for learning new vocabulary.

Activities
Teacher will introduce routine for teaching new words.
1.

Students will be asked to complete Vocabulary Note taking guide.

2.

Each student will be assigned one new word and asked to create
keynote and to teach the class about word usage.

3.

Class will be asked to record details about each presentation.

4.

Students will be given vocabulary quiz to see how much they learned.

Adaptations
Students who are having trouble on this assignment will be assigned a
group to work with.

Evaluation
Vocabulary quiz after instruction. Also, teacher will be looking for the
words used appropriately on business letter that will be prepared for
Voyages class.
