GETTING STARTED

Starting up your iPhone

First you have to install the latest
version of iTunes on your PC or Mac
and you can download it from :
www.apple.com/itunes/download
then insert the MicroSIM card &
connect your iPhone to your PC
or Mac.

Once connected, from the iTunes

application screen tap on Register
later and wait till your mobile is
activated.

INTERNET SETUP
Setting up the internet on your iPhone
Go to Settings, tap General, then tap
Network. Make sure that Enable 3G
& Cellular Data are set to ON.
Tap on Cellular Data Network &
then fill in the following settings:
Cellular Data
APN: internet.batelco.com
Username:
Password:

MMS
APN: mms.batelco.com
Username: wap
Password: wap
MMSC: http://192.168.36.10/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 192.168.1.2:80
MMS Max Message Size: 100000

EMAIL SETUP
Setting up Batelco email on your iPhone
From your iPhone tap on the
Settings icon.
Tap on Mail, Contact, Calendars.
Tap on Add account then tap on
Other then Add Mail Account to
start creating the account.
The following information must be
filled in:
Name: Your name. e.g. Ahmed Ali
Address: Your full email address.
e.g. username@batelco.com.bh
Description: Your Email Account.
e.g. batelco.com.bh
When you have entered those details,
tap Save and your iPhone will
attempt to automatically connect.

It will show an area where you enter

your incoming and outgoing mail
server details:
Incoming Mail Server:
batelco.com.bh
Host Name: batelco.com.bh
Username: Your Email Username
Password: Your Email Password

Note:
To turn data roaming off when
abroad to avoid substantial roaming
charges when using email, MMS, web
browsing and other data services, go
to Settings, tap General, then tap
Network. Make sure that Data
Roaming is set to OFF.

Outgoing Mail Server:

batelco.com.bh
Host Name: batelco.com.bh
Username: Your Email Username
Password: Your Email Password
Then tap Save.
Your iPhone will attempt to connect
using SSL. It will then ask the
following question: Do you want to
try setting up the account without
SSL? Select Yes, then your account
will be added successfully.
Then restart the iPhone.
