SQL*LIMS is web-based and includes lot-based sample management, useful in

manufacturing contexts. Both applications are thin client. Supports Oracle and Sql server
databases.

My role in SUNOCO as LIMS Consultant:

1) Modify the existing LIMS Oracle Jinitiator to Oracle JRE for Win7 support.
Currently the SQL*LIMS is in SP5 and we are working to upgrade it to SP8.
2) Creating new users as per lab managers request.
3) Created new Event to reprint fermentation labels in LIMS manually.
4) Business users requested for new sample to be created for new sample point
GRAINS. Created new sample LIMS scheduler is able to log the Truck sample
at 6 am in LIMS but the label is not printing.
5) set up an option in LIMS similar to the other reprint label options to enable the
lab to reprint truck corn labels
6) update the lims store procedures to print reports to FULTONNP03.
7) Responsible for system corrections and patches related to SQL*LIMS and
LIMSLink
8) Responsible for delivery of system and support services for SQL*LIMS and
LIMSLink
9) Monitor the effectiveness of the support process and make recommendations for
improvements
10) Prepare, update and review user manuals, functional & technical design
specifications and validation documents
11) Involved in fixing bugs and Problem solving for SQL*LIMS and LIMSLINK
related applications.
12) Configured, implemented and validated SQL*LIMS as per the requirements,
developed Oracle reports in SQL*LIMS, implemented business process changes
in the LIMS, enforced better standardization within the laboratory, integrated
LIMS with other scientific applications, implemented instrument interfacing.
