To whom it may concern:
Taylor Boysen served as an intern under my leadership for the Summer 2015 semester. During Taylors time with me he assisted in the operations of Camp iCare and Real Cents, Real Change, two academic programs offered through the College of Human Sciences at Auburn University. The camps serve children ages 6 to 18 in a variety of settings. The focus of each camp is to create an awareness in children of their philanthropic responsibilities and to begin the conversation on how to manage their wealth. This summer, we led camps in settings that included all socioeconomic levels and both rural and urban children. One very special group that we led was a group of young ladies aged 14-17 who live in a residential foster home. Taylors responsibilities varied each week but always included organization and distribution of materials. As you can imagine, a camp like this requires a lot of supplies. Taylor kept us organized and well stocked with the materials that we needed each week. Each week also included set up and tear down at each site. T his required a sense of follow through and attention to detail in making sure that th ings were done well. Taylor was one to be counted on in that regard. Taylor took the reins and led lessons each week as well. He spoke to both large and small groups of children about money management, service to others and building legacies. Taylor is a very mature young man with a solid plan for the future. You don t meet too many young people with such well-defined goals. I believe his experiences with Camp iCare and Real Cents, Real Change have helped him to continue to fine tune his future goals and plans. I know that he will be a success at whatever he puts his mind to accomplishing. If you would like to discuss Taylors work in further detail, please do not hesitate to call me at 334-844-4696. Sincerely,
Sharon Wilbanks Director, Auburn University Early Learning Center
