When I enrolled in this class I did not know what to expect, I assumed that I would learn

about the different stages of life that we as humans go through. However, I did not expect
to learn about why I think the way I do or why I behave the way I do. I suppose I expecte
d to learn the scientific side more than the cultural, but as the course continued I realized t
hat science and culture went hand in hand. This course was able to teach me more about t
he stages we go through while growing up, and that although we all may come from diffe
rent parts of the world, we can all experience similar things.
As I continued learning through the course I was able to really delve into what exactly I b
elieve in, my own thoughts and opinions on subjects that I had never taken the time to thi
nk about. The two assignments attached below really show how I was able to explore my
views on both abortion and about my own social time line. I was really able to go into my
views about a controversial and almost scary topic. But as a young adult I feel it is import
ant to talk about uncomfortable things and really get an understanding of what you want f
or your life and what you believe in, this class allowed me to to that.
