CLONE ADMINISTRATION BY USING NAVISPHERE MANAGER

To administer the clone first we need to configure the Clone Private LUN.
Right click on clariongo to snap viewselect the clone feature propertiesit will open
a new window with available LUNSselect the LUNS move over to clone private
LUNselect the option allow protected restore, it enable globally (it consumes more
system resources, for a single clone system need to track two bit maps in a protected
restore)once configure these CLPs available under the private LUN container.
Once we have a CLPs, then we can create a clone groupright click on the source
LUNselect snap viewcreate clone groupgive the clone group name as well we can
check the source LUN will be highlightedclick apply then Ok.
Under the snap view containerclonewe can find the clone groupwe can add clone
to clone group by right click on clone groupselect clones and set parameters like Initial
sync & protected restore, recovery policy as automatic or manual, sync rate as low,
medium or highHere the status of the clone is OUT OF SYNC.
We need to change the status to synchronization by right click on the
clonesynchronizethe status of the clone will changed to in synchronizing.
The other clone operations we can perform are reverse sync, fracture, remove.
