On presentation:
Commentary: This chart represents where breast cancer typically starts to forms in the breast of
women. In seventy percent of breast cancer cases, the cancerous cells start to form in the milk
ducts. Ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer. This type of cancer is
considered noninvasive cancer until it breaks the ducts. Twenty percent of cancer is formed in
breast tissue. Cancerous cells can infect the tissue of the breast and end up moving into ones
bloodstream. The least most common place that cancer forms in womans breasts are the lobules.

On Slides: Many women decide that getting a mastectomy after getting diagnosed with breast
cancer.
Commentary: After getting a mastectomy some women become very self-conscious about their
bodies. The SCAR Project is just one of the many programs out there to help empower women to
feel confident about their post cancer bodies. Most women who win their battle with cancer have
hair loss and scars from their mastectomies and chemotherapy. I chose the picture shown above
because of the strength you can see on this womans face.
