Daily Writing #1:

Mrs. Pittman- I would have to say that my AP English IV teacher helped me to

prepare for college the most. She exposed and challenged me to a variety of
things using very effective analysis strategies.
Refection- I have had many people that have contributed to me being able to
read and write. I have always found it natural to compose and synthesize my
ideas but as far as advancing them and making them stronger, I would have
to give kudos to her.

Daily Writing #2:

I believe that we can all agree that school was a place where we all can say
was a special place for us all to say where it shaped our learning and
narrative skills.
I am aware that this may seem like a clich, but I wasnt able to get help
from my family. As far as basic math (2+2=4, etc.) I was able to obtain help,
but it came to a point where I surpassed the boundary of being helped. The
outlet that I had was after school and I believe that we are all products of our
childhood.
When I went to high school, the place that I stayed the most was in my room,
and I usually have the music on, which is really a distraction, but having
noise really soothed me.

Daily Writing #3:

I really didnt participate in my school book fairs. I remember my teachers
making me go with our class to go to the library where it was held, and I
would end up just perusing through and look at books.
Although I didnt get to buy things from the book fair, I still was able to go to
the library. The genre that I am mostly interested in is realistic fiction.
I would say that the book fair encouraged me to read or really encouraged
me to get excited for the books that were on display.

Daily Writing #4:

Favorite childhood book/author:
Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House, Box Car Children, Maximum Ride Series
In third grade I was always fascinated over the magic tree house series. I
have always felt like I was a part of the adventure.

Daily Writing #5:

This is a really great question. In my life I have always been surrounded by
technology. It has been first nature. The only thing that was different from
our generation and the younger generation is that they are being exposed to
it in an even earlier age. It was like it is a necessity to be into technology.
Technology was in my school. We had computer class in elementary school.
Constructing a PowerPoint for my own benefit was in middle school where we

had to present about a country that we were randomly given and I can
remember how nervous I was.
Now in elementary I could remember being taught that basic functions of a
computer and what not. Also the software components were taught to us.
Now to look on how it impacted me, technology impacted my life and
continues to impact our lives. I believe that it has enhanced my literary skills.
Going into high school, I began to have to read my assignments online. It
exposed me to a higher learning. Back then it sucked but now I adapted to
my environment and saw later that being exposed to those assignments
allowed me to see it come to fruition.

Daily Writing #6:

Laundry List:
1. The part of Africa that my people generally came from
2. What slaves holder or domestication where we involved with
3. Famous relatives

Daily Writing #7:

I would go to my mom and have a connection with her family and try to get
enough information about that. What I was interested in is that my family
had black hawk Indian

Daily Writing #8:

The food that I am used to is something called soul food. That consists of
many things. Soul food can be prepared in many ways the concept of soul
food is making things from scratch.
(Fried chicken, mac and cheese, mash potatoes and homemade gravy)
Food is essential to life so why not make it good. I really enjoy food and
without it technically we would not be able to do anything and would die.
My grandmother has recipes that her grandmother made foods such as
yams, chicken, and dumplings. My grandmother s a master at getting food
together and making things out of scratch. I think that soul food is all about
improvising and creating something good. People literally put their souls in it.

Daily Writing #9:

Country of Origination: I am really finding a hard coping with the project
mainly because I know where my heritage will end up. The farthest I can go
right now is five generations. In African American heritage, slaves had to
take on the last names of their slave owners. So that was a major dead end
that I encountered.

Daily Writing #10:

Neil Armstrong- In much of societys research means to investigate
something you do not know or understand

I feel like I relate to this statement the most because there are a lot of things
in our society that is not technically common knowledge. In our minds
research can only be at a college or higher institution but in reality it is
anywhere.

Daily Writing #11:

Peer review- I really enjoy peer review for one. It always helps us to become
better writers. I have always been used to the traditional way of peer
reviewing. The traditional way is to pair with a partner and they would read
yours, and you would get a better perspective on your end. In my past, I
would try my best to get the best writer so that I could get the best advice. I
knew that my writing would be enhanced a lot more if I did it that way.

Daily Writing #12:

I was supposed to sign up for a scholarship through my church, and I was

expected to perfect the answer to five questions. I rushed through it, with
sincere answers, but had minor grammar mistakes. Some minor parts I didnt
answer thoroughly like I should have.
The committee called and had an interview with me about my written
responses and Mrs. Searight told me that I should always complete with the
upmost professional quality.

Daily Writing #13:

Influential speakers are very important; they impact the way that we think. I
believe that in our generation we are a social media and a technology based
generation. We have many social issues in our world as well. For example we
have racial injustices, global warming, and also global warming that could be
addressed by all of us. The change begins with us.

Daily Writing #14:

I would have to say when having to choose to keep my family or to endeavor
into my life without them.
I had a dream that me and my friends were in a city and we were sharing
our life stories with each other.
Well one thing happened at senior week and it jeopardized our family. The
common goal was to fight for our relationship. It was natural for me to
actually endeavor in my future.

Daily Writing #15:

I have multiple sources, but its not that they are stuck in my book bag, but I
havent determined which ones that I am going to use. I am doing the
annotated bibliography.
Using the information that Mrs. Raymond has given me, I am just going to
find the first 10 sources, and then elaborate on the simple fact.

Daily Writing #16:

This has happened to me before, but I tried not to procrastinate too much on
snow incidences. Sometime if I am caught up on a weekend and I have a lot
that was due, and I had one class that was important and had a test the next
day, I would check out to study or complete the work assignment.

Daily Writing #17:

After reading this we all are wondering hat is in the wallet. Well here it is
the man was hoping to see if there was more or even a name in it. When he
opened the wallet a flash came and repressed his memory with a recording
to put the wallet down, and forget about him seeing the wallet. Along the
memory suppressor telling him to forget about seeing the wallet, he had to
walk around the block in the same footsteps. In reality he has been stuck in
this paradox ever since he died.
In his past life he was a thief who commonly stole so now, and his hell was to
be stuck in a paradox and he had to deal with giving the choice of doing the
right or wrong thing.
