think, the way you behave etc and why it had such an impact on you.

I am an ardent believer that a person's persona is a product of experiences accumulated through a lifetime of
encounters.
.
As a student, I had the impression that getting into the IITs was the end of all onerous hardships. I started
my first year exuberantly. Being under the impression that getting there would suffice, I started sluggishly in
my academics and engaged myself in inane activities. At the end of first semester, my grades suffered. My
incorrigible attitude pulled me further down in the next semester.

It was the reunion of my school batch, one year post our selection. The teachers had organised an interactive
session with the current batch of aspirants. A small auditorium, full of eager listeners absorbed every detail
rendered by my batch mates, most of whom shared glorious things they did in college. When it was my turn,I
could only manage a blabber. The emptiness of wasted time hit me hard. Retrospecting at night, I realised
that all my life I had been into milestones whereas it was always about the journey.This was the day of
acceptance of a truth which was unclear till now.

Returning to college, I re-channelized my energies and the results were visible.
.
As I started exploring architecture as a wonderful area of human knowledge rather than only as a means of
ephemeral grades, my activities resonated with positivity and focus. Surprisingly, I ended up scoring well as
well as getting selected for IIT football team and other coveted positions. It has reinforced my now-cherished
belief that life is a journey of imbibing new knowledge and experiences that come your way.

GUIDELINES/TERMS & CONDITIONS
FOR ADMISSION TO
THE POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT
AT THE INDIAN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
ABOUT YOUNG LEADERS PROGRAMME:
The Young Leaders Programme at the Indian School of Business (ISB) is a mode of admission into our coveted
Post Graduate Programme, that will help undergraduate students gain a fresh perspective in management studies.
This course makes you eligible for guaranteed admission to the much sought after one year Post Graduate
Programme (PGP) at ISB ,contingent upon completion of a minimum of 21 months of work experience.
The YLP programme accelerates career growth during the two pre-PGP years vide structured, cutting edge learning
and mentorship programmes. It concludes with admission into the ISBs well established PGP in Management. The
programme is apt for students with an outstanding academic and extra-curricular record.
Young Leaders Programme 2015:

Eligibility Criteria:
Apart from prescribed eligibility criteria, all candidates who are in their pre final year of college from any field as of
March 31, 2015 will be eligible to apply for 2015 under the Young Leaders Programme.
The candidate applying under the Young Leaders Programme will pass through 3 stages of selection process before
being granted admission. Stage 1 and Stage 2 will consist of online application while stage 3 consists of a task and
an interview to be held at the ISB Campus. After you have submitted your application at a stage, you will not be
allowed to make any changes in the submitted application in that stage. Short listing will take place at each stage.
Application Details:
APPLICATION DEADLINES: applicable deadlines are mentioned in the instructions page and need to be strictly
adhered to.ISB should receive your application along with all the supporting documents within the stipulated
deadlines. Please note that the application should be submitted online along with scanned copies of the supporting
documents in the format specified. ISB shall not consider and process any application received after the deadlines.
ISB shall also not consider and process any incomplete application. An application is said to be incomplete, when
any of the items mentioned therein are not filled and are filled incompletely. In addition, an application is considered
to be incomplete when any of the supporting documents as prescribed are not submitted or are submitted in a format
not specified by ISB.
SUBMISSIONS at the last moment: ISB strongly recommends that you submit your application along with all the
supporting documents including evaluations/recommendations well within the deadline prescribed, as you could face
certain problems in submitting the application within the deadlines at the last moment, due to server overload. Please
note that ISB shall not be responsible for any problems / difficulties faced by you in submitting the application as well
as the supporting documents online. ISB regrets to inform you that it shall not extend the application submission
deadline under any circumstances.

EMAIL: Please note that ISBsonline application system does not allow you to change your primary email
address once entered. Please ensure that you use your personal email address only as your primary email address
in the application.
APPLICATION FEE: The application fee of INR 1000 (equivalent of US $ 20) has to be remitted online through a
Credit Card or Net Banking option,Please note that the said fee non-refundable.
PAYMENT GATEWAY: You can use any Master card or VISA Cardto remit your application fee - It is not
necessary for you to use only the credit cards issued by ICICI Bank or Citibank. International applicants are however
recommended to remit payment using the Citibank gateway and domestic applicants using the ICICI Bank gateway.
Please note that ISB shall not be responsible for any problem encountered by you in remitting the payment through
the aforesaid gateways.
SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:
Stage-1 :
Documents To be Uploaded in the Upload Documents Page:
Academic : Scanned copies of all the Official Certificates and Transcripts/Mark sheets for the completed academic
years at the time of submission of application need to be submitted (in A-4, 150 or 200 dpi in pdf format). In case
you do not possess the originals of the aforesaid certificates or transcripts, please make sure that you apply
for duplicates with the concerned Board/University and obtain the same before you submit your application
to ISB. ISB will not grant any extension to you for submission of the aforesaid certificates and transcripts
If your transcript is in any other language other than English, you should also submit us a scanned copy of that
transcript along with its official translation in English. The official translation may be obtained from your univeristy or
the embassy / mission of your country in India.
Resume: The Scanned copy of ONE PAGE Resume need be submitted (150 or 200 DPI, Black & white scan in pdf
format).
Photograph: A Passport size colour photograph in business formals should be submitted / uploaded in a pdf format
of 200 / 300 dpi. Please note that ISBs online application system will not allow you to upload the photograph in any
other format. You can upload / submit a digital photograph or a scanned copy of a print photograph. Your photograph
should be uploaded in the personal details page
Statement Of Integrity: The format of the Statement of Integrity is available on the Statement of Integrity page. You
should download the said Statement of integrity and take a printout thereof. After signing the said Statement, you
should submit / upload scanned in pdf 150 - 200dpi format
Important: Only documents received along with your application shall be considered by ISB. Please note that you
will not be able to submit / upload any document/s, after submission of your application. ISB shall also not accept or
receive any document / s in relation to your application after submission of your application or after the applicable
deadlines.
Essay: One Essay - Your response to the question provided has to be submitted prior to submitting the application.
Student ID Card: The Scanned copy of your student ID card (if not available currently, an attested letter from the
authorized person of the college) in 150 or 200 dpi in pdf need to be uploaded.

Essays: Two Essays - Your response to each of the questions provided has to be submitted.
Passport: Scanned copies of the main pages of your passport providing the details of your name, date of birth,
photograph, citizenship etc., should be uploaded in150 or 200 DPI in pdf format.
GMAT Score Report: Scanned copy of the main page of your official score report or the test center score copy, in
black & white should be submitted / uploaded in150 or 200 DPI in pdf format
Reporting / Submission of score: You are required to request Pearson to send the Official GMAT Score to the ISB
before submitting your application. Pearson usually takes about 2 weeks time from the date of your request, to report
your official score to ISB. The GMAT Code for ISB is N2D-J5-99. An application with a test center score, will not be
considered, reviewed or shortlisted by ISB without the official GMAT score report. It is therefore mandatory for you to
upload a scanned copy of your GMAT Test Centre/Official/Unofficial Score report as a part of the application at stage2
GMAT DATE: ISBs online application system will not allow you to submit the application without entering your GMAT
score.You should take the GMAT befpre the application deadline so that you can enter your verbal and Quantitative
scores as part of your application. It is mandatory to enter the details of the GMAT Score at Stage-2 ISB will not grant
any extension for submission of your GMAT Score Report beyond the applicable deadlines.
RECOMMENDATIONS/EVALUATION FORMS: Your recommenders / evaluators should submit their
recommendations / evaluations online in the format prescribed by ISB. ISB recommends you to approach your
evaluators / recommenders for obtaining recommendations / evaluations at the earliest. Please note that any
recommendations / evaluations received by ISB after the applicable deadlines or in format not prescribed by ISB shall
not be considered.
BACKGROUND VERIFICATION:
Academic: ISB conducts verification checks of your academics through an independent agency. Please note that the
offer of admission to the Young Leaders Programme is subject to a satisfactory feedback from the said agency. The
decision taken by ISB in that regard is final. In the event if the admission is offered to you by then, the discretion to
revoke the said admission offered solely rests with ISB and the decision taken by ISB in this regard is final.
Stage-3:
INTERVIEW:
Location: The tentative interview dates are available on the online application homepage. All the short listed
candidates may make sure that you plan well in advance to present yourself for the personal interview as per the time
slot scheduled. ISB shall not entertain any requests for change in interview locations / dates / times due to
operational issues. You should bring a copy of the interview invitation and you should also remember your application
reference number. Please note that you will not be required to submit any academic record/s at the time of interview.
Skype id: You will be required to open a Skype account and provide the details of the same in the field provided as a
part of the application, if you are located at an international location or if located outside India at the time of interview.
Scholarship Application: The YLP admit, upon successful completion of at least one year and nine months of work
experience will be entitled to contest for a merit based scholarship (and a need based scholarship, where applicable)
vide a separate application and interview process.

ADMISSION FEE: The admission fee of INR 50,000 along with the applicable Service Tax) has to be remitted to ISB
within 15 days from the date of offer of admission. The said amount can be remitted by a bank draft, through internet
banking or via Wire Transfer. Please note that the admission fee is non-refundable.

PROGRAM INTERVENTIONS: Programme interventions will be held twice every year at a gap of 6 months each.
These interventions will be conducted at ISB Campuses and will be spread over a weekend (i.e. 2 days). For all the
candidates who are admitted YLP programme Attendance to each of these Programme interventions is Mandatory.
The admitted candidate should make necessary travel arrangements on their own to ISB campuses wherever the
intervention is scheduled. However, ISB will be providing accommodation to the admitted candidates on campus
during the Programme intervention.
Academic/Employment: ISB conducts verification checks of your academics/employment through an independent
agency. Please note that the offer of admission to the Young Leaders Programme is subject to a satisfactory
feedback from the said agency. The decision taken by ISB in that regard is final. In the event if the admission is
offered to you by then, the discretion to revoke the said admission offered solely rests with ISB and the decision
taken by ISB in this regard is final.
REGISTRATION:
Original certificates/ mark sheets: Original Certificates and Mark sheets (starting from Class 10) have to be
submitted for verification at the time of registration. The originals will be returned to you once they have been
verified. In Case you do not possess please apply for duplicates immediately and ensure that you produce
the same at the time of admission. The applicant will not be registered as a student at ISB if he / she fails to
submit the original documents on the day of registration.
PROOF OF IDENTITY: We shall accept Passport, Driving License, PAN card and Voter ID Card as proof of
identity. Please ensure that you bring the original proof of identity on the day of registration. It is mandatory for
foreign nationals to submit the passport as proof of identity
Visa: All international students will need to obtain a student visa for the entire period of study at the ISB. A copy of
the visa has to be submitted on the day of registration. In addition to the VISA, international students also need to
register with the local police in Hyderabad in the specified FRO Form. A copy of registration/permit also needs to be
submitted to ISB as a part of the registration. In case the student does not have visa valid for the period of study at

ISB and has to return in the middle of the programme, ISB will not be responsible for the loss suffered by the
student. Such a case will be treated as withdrawal from the programme and rules applicable for refund of fees on
withdrawal will be applicable.
Proof of Date of Birth: ISB shall accept only Birth certificate issued by the Local Municipal authority, Passport or
Class 10 certificate as proof of your date of birth. You should bring the original at the time of registration.
Admission to PGP: Upon completion of 21 months of work experience the candidate shall be admitted to the one
year Post Graduate programme (PGP) at ISB as per the admission process and criteria stipulated for the admission
into one year Post Graduate programme (PGP) at ISB.
REFUND POLICY:
Tuition Fees
These amounts, charged to the student at the time of registration to the PGP, and paid in accordance with
the payment plan opted for by the student, are non-refundable. At the discretion of the ISB, for exceptional
cases refund may be approved upto a maximum of 50% of the fees / charges relating to the Terms that
have not yet commenced. A student who is dismissed / expelled from the programme, for disciplinary
reasons or an Honor Code violation will not be entitled to any refund.
Accommodation Expenses
These amounts, charged to the student at the time of registration to the PGP, and paid in accordance with
the payment plan opted for by the student, are refundable proportionate to the remaining calendar months
of the programme.
Security Deposit
This deposit, placed with the School by the student at the time of registration to the PGP, is refundable to
the student at the time of exit from the PGP subject to recoveries, if any, such as amounts outstanding
towards telephone, dining, electricity, etc. and damages caused by the student to the assets of the ISB.
Alumni Fees
This fee paid by the students is non-refundable upon completion of the PGP and entitles the alumni
member use of LRC & Recreation centre, whenever he/she is in Hyderabad
