EXPLANATION OF CHARGES:
The Elections Canada Riding Administrative and Elections Canada HQ
Administrative Fees are estimated based on the 37-day spending
projection from Elections Canada for the 2015 Election Period. We
have extrapolated a conservative 50% increase over the amount
Elections Canada expected to spend based on a regular-length
campaign. The percentage of the overall spending between riding-byriding expenditures and Ottawa-based expenditures was divided
based on the percentages indicated after the 2011 Federal Election.
The Fair Elections Act Political Party Subsidy Fees are based on the
total amount of legal spending by political parties and their candidates
as increased by the Conservative Government prior to this election
period. Parties are eligble for a reimbursement of 50% of their
expenses, and each candidate is eligible for a reimbursement of 60%
of their expenses.
