Johnny and Karen Loh

Rev. Johnny Loh and Mrs. Karen Loh are missionaries of Canadian
Baptist Ministries. They came from Hong Kong and mainland China respectively.
After they graduated from University of Windsor, they were married and traveled
to Kentucky, USA to study at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1983
Rev. Loh graduated with his Master of Divinity Degree and Mrs. Log with a
Master of Religious Education Degree. In 1984 they returned to Canada to the
Windsor Chinese Baptist church.
In 1985 they were appointed for missionary service in Indonesia. Yet when
visas were not granted, they accepted a call to Bolivia where they served from
1987 until 1993 among Chinese people in the city of Santa Cruz. Their call to
Venezuela led them to begin a new ministry of evangelism, leadership
development and church planting in Caracas in 1993.
From Caracas, their church-planting ministry has expanded to
Barquisimento where the church, with the help of short-term teams, has grown in
five years to an established and growing church with an attendance of 30. The
Lohs have been able to coordinate this ministry with assistance of various
volunteer teams from Chinese Baptist churches in Canada.
The Lohs have three children: Nathanael, Karissa and Justina.
