ELT METHODOLOGY (I) – 202

WEEK 1- FIRST THINGST FIRST

I like the activity Ice-Breakers (actually it’s not an exact name) because
while introducing oneself to others generally makes people nerveous, with
the help of such kind of activities, it becomes more likely a formal game.
That’s why many students may find it easy and fun, and by this way, they
can become closer to teacher and to their friends more than they do by
the traditional introducing ways. But I think this activity can be expanded
with some other ice-breaker activities, such as “three-finger activity”.

I dislike the True-False Activity because while checking/correcting the


things on the handouts, students may think that it is some kind of exam
paper, they may afraid of making mistakes and they mey feel nervous.
Such thoughts prohibits them to act freely in the class.

I had no difficulty in figuring out anything, but as I said, some students,


especially the little ones, may have (:

I don’t think I need to focus more on something.
