    245 Shooting, 2200 block of Sunset Avenue

    At about 1915 hrs officers of the Bakersfield Police Department were dispatched
    to the 2200 block of Sunset Avenue for a report of a victim of a shooting. Upon
    arrival, officers found a Hispanic Male Adult suffering from two bullet wounds
    to his torso. The victim stated he had been working at his computer when he
    heard a knock at the door. When he answered the door a BM or HM 5-8, 160,
    was at the door asking if a certain male subject lived at the residence. The
    victim told the suspect he had the wrong house and the suspect then produced a
    handgun and began firing at him. The victim was transported to KMC where
    his injuries were later determined to be non life-threatening.

    No witnesses to the shooting and no suspects located. Anyone with information


    is encouraged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
