Preparation
Make one copy of Worksheet 1A: Address
book for each student.
Procedure
1. Give each student a copy of the activity.
2. Explain to students that they are
forming study groups. In their address
books, they need to write the contact
information of people who will be in their
study group (tell students that if they
would prefer not to give out personal
information they should just make it up).
3. Elicit the questions students will ask:
Whats your rst name? How do you spell
that? etc.
4. Have students write their own
information in their address book before
they interact with their classmates.
5. Divide the class into groups of six to
twelve students (or use this as a whole
class activity).
