PREFACE

We would like to present, with great pleasure, The nature conservacy, a magazine that
discusses current issues that our environment is facing today. In this spirit, the magazine is
divided into two parts, with the first devoted to major environmental issues that affect living
organisms today, and the second focusing on the environmental activities that are versatile and
verifiable in a wide range of applications.
Part 1 discusses four major issues concerning Biodiversity, Water, Climate change and
Ecosystem including the cause and effect and statistics. Part 2 compasses three sub-topics, the
environmental education, environmental activities and the strategic plan as a guide to be
followed in conducting the activity.
No work such as this magazine can be done without the help of many individuals. On the very
outset of this magazine, we would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt obligation towards all
personages who have helped us in this endeavor. First and foremost we would like to thank
God. In the process of putting this work together, He had given us wisdom and power to believe
that we can finish this on time. We could never have done this without the faith we have in you,
the Almighty.
We are ineffably indebted to our faculty, Dr. Silpa Canoy Bahian for conscientious guidance and
encouragement to accomplish this assignment. In addition to her many responsibilities in the
program, she has worked energetically in coordinating and guiding students efforts to publish
this magazine.
Finally, we would like to express our appreciation to each and every ones efforts and
contributions. We have done a great job in putting this magazine together.
It is hoped that through this magazine, we may encourage every individual to join hands across
the globe to protect and preserve our environment and thereby uphold human health along with
the natural environment: air, water and land. Lets teach our children to respect nature and the
environment, and learn in the process how we can hold on to the one planet which has a
miracle called life. We need to start looking at having a way of managing the Environment.
Small things that we do today might have a big impact in the future.
