Unattainable
Gilt hair, sapphire eyes, sculpted to Gods delight. My eyes and heart melted from the initial
exposure to your brilliance. When your azure gems mingled with my crude coals, the archer took
his mark. Buck and doe were sniped, but only one was struck. Spring after spring I bounded
around you, too shy to approach. I knew you had others in mind. So did I. Maybe I wasnt even
of your species. Might have been the pheromones. But my coals still ignite, even without the
spark of your ocean gleam.
