4. Home treatments for healthy hair
Here weve mentioned a few home treatments that generations of Indian women have relied on. Give
these ancient secrets a shot yourselves!
Make a paste of henna, curd, soaked and ground fenugreek, ground hibiscus flowers, ground
gooseberries, and egg (all of them or any one) and apply it onto the hair and scalp for about an hour
before shampooing. Done regularly, this will make your hair stronger and better-looking. But
remember that henna is suitable only for dark colored hair because it tints hair red.
Wash the hair out with decoction of tea or a bit of lemon squeezed into the water in which you will
bathe. (for dandruff).
Apply coconut or almond oil. If doing this daily does not appeal to you, apply the oil on the scalp
overnight before shampooing, or apply a drop to the top of your head before you comb out your hair.
Drink Plenty of Water Daily
Drinking Plenty of Water every day is a great way to prevent hair loss. Toxins are major reason for
hair loss. Water helps wash off toxins from your body. Drink distilled water or at least filtered water
that does not contain Chlorine, lead, etc. for healthy hair.

There are few yoga postures, Asan which apart from keeping you healthy, also helps to control hair
loss, hair fall. Here are the few best yoga poses & exercises for hair loss problem.
Vajrasana is one of the best asan for hair fall problem.
How to practice Vajrasana?
By keeping your both the knees together, sit on the floor. Try to fold your knees one by one, first the
left and then right one and place toes on the floor.
Dont tough your heels, and keep both apart, bring your both the toes together and sit on them.
Keep your palms on your kneed straighter. Make sure spine, the neck and the head should be straight.
You hands should be pressure free and the body weight should be on spine. Keep breathing smoothly
while doing this posture. Now return in your original position by taking off your left leg and then right
leg.
Dont try to do hard, in the initial stage try this asan for 5 minutes. Practice makes a man perfect so
increase the timings gradually when you feel comfortable.
Precautions:
People, who are suffering from piles and knee pain, should avoid it.
Benefits:

three deep breaths. Inhale deeply and then exhale, all the while contracting your abdominal muscles.
Try to do 1 exhalation per second. Start with doing 1 round of 15 exhalations and gradually increase it
to 30 and then 60. Increase the number of rounds but take breaks in between.
Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand): Lie on your back.
Inhale deeply and raise your legs until your toes point towards the ceiling. Your body should be
resting on your shoulders and the back of your neck. Support your body with your hands which should
be at the centre of your spine. Ensure that your legs and spine are straight. Breathe deeply and
concentrate on your thyroid gland.
you can mix equal portion of coconut oil + olive oil add "Vettiver, Kadukai, Venthayam, Nellikai
(Cutted in to pieces)" 25 grams each and use this daily. surely you will get rid of hair loss.
You can do the same for Grey hair and Hair with weak root.

Long hair
If we apply the carrot,lemon juice with the coconut oil then we will get the long hair.
Take 2 carrot.
Take glass of lemon juice.
Mix and boil with the coconut oil.
Filter the decoction .
Apply in the hair before taking the bath.

same method can be used with curry leaves too. but curry leaves boiled in coconut oil and filtered and
applied will give smell on the hair the whole day.
Soaking Fenu Greek over night and taking it with Curd in the morning with Empty stomach will boost
hair growth.
Also grind Hibuscus (Country) and mix it with Gingelly oil ...apply it on the scalp and leave it for an
hour or so.This will make your hair black and will help you to have a thick hair too.though washing it
is difficult this will pay good results.It worked so well for me.

simple and best way:
daily night massage the hair with coconut oil and comb the hair without knots.
Add a lemon peel to a 'shikakai' and 'amla' mixture while washing your hair.
Apply besan in the hair and wash it with water drained from the cooked rice.
Soak a handful of gooseberry in a cup of milk for two hours. Make it as a paste and apply in the
hair.
Apply the mixture of an egg white, 2 spoon of castor oil, 1 spoon glycerin, in the scalp and hair.
Wash it after some time.
Massage hair with warm coconut oil an hour before washing. Let it soak. Cover your head with
a hot towel and wash your hair after an hour or so.
Do a 'steam-towel-wrap' once in a while, if your cuticles are damaged, as this steaming opens
out the pores and absorbs the oil.
Mix a little vinegar in warm water and rinse your hair with this solution. This will add bounce
to dull and lifeless hair.
Boil a few hibiscus flowers in coconut oil. Filter and use this hair oil to control hair loss and
thinning.
Soak 1 teaspoon fenugreek in curd and keep it for a night. Have it in the next morning.
Take a cup of coconut and mustard oils. Soak half a cup of curry leaves in the oil mixture and
keep it for a night. Next morning, heat on a slow fire till the curry leaves turn crisp. Remove from heat
and add two to three camphor balls. Allow oil to cool and then strain. Apply oil to hair roots using
cotton wool along the parting and massage in circular movements. Leave the oil overnight and
shampoo the next morning. Repeat twice a week.
Boil coconut oil with the juices of curry leaves, basil, hibiscus flower and gooseberry. Apply on
hair, keep it for sometime and rinse.
Dandruff
Crush the leaves of five petal hibiscus flower and take the juice. Wash the hair with this juice.
Apply the warm mixture of olive oil, lemon juice and coconut oil. Do a steam -towel- wrap for
15 minutes and wash the hair with a mild shampoo.
Massage the Scalp with pure coconut oil. This will also help growth of hair.
Heat oil with a little camphor. Apply the oil in the scalp and massage for 10 minutes. After 30
minutes wash the hair with a herbal shampoo. Do the steam -towel- wrap for 15 minutes.
Mix Shikakai powder with the water drained from the cooked rice and wash the hair with it
Apply coconut oil which has been boiled with small onions for about 20 minutes. Wash it off
with a mixture of green gram powder and water drained from cooked (boiled) rice.
Apply a mixture of almond oil and gooseberry juice with finger tips on the scalp.
Greying of Hairs
Boil one cup of dried gooseberry with 4 cups of water. Add a pinch of sugar in it. Keep boiling
till the quantity of the liquid reduces to one cup. Mix 2 cups of Mehendi, an egg, juice of a lemon and
the gooseberry solution and apply on hair. Wash the hair after two hours.
Take a little Mehandi , an egg, juice of half a lemon, one table spoon of instant coffee powder.
Mix it together and apply on the hair. Wash it after 45 minutes.
grey hair home remedies
Premature greying is also due to stress
Amla is the best cure for grey hair and falling hair. Regular massage of "amla" paste rubbed into the
scalp has worked well comparing to other methods.
You can also prepare hair oil with more number of Amlas soaked in that.
Drink butter milk with a 1 teaspoons of Amla powder and another 1 tsp of Curry leaves powder in an
empty stomach this stops premature greying of hair.
