Positive Action & Behavior Plan
*There are four ways that I encourage self-control and good behavior:
1. Peavy Bucks - Each student has an opportunity to earn a Peavy Buck every day. There are also
times throughout the day when I catch students following directions or being kind to a friend etc. I
will give out additional Peavy Bucks.
2. Brownie Points The class as a whole has the opportunity to earn Brownie Points throughout
the day. Once the class has 16 Brownies on our class pan I will bring in brownies for a BROWNIE
PARTY! The class earns Brownie Points by receiving compliments from other teachers either while
walking the hall way, in the lunch room, or at specials.
3. Our Friends Smiley and Sadly Our class as a whole will also try to earn smileys throughout the
day. This is a team effort in the classroom. The class can earn Smileys by listening to directions, being
a good friend and neighbor, and overall good behavior as a group. The class can also earn Sadly
points if they are disobeying, not following the rules etc. This is simply a competition within the
classroom between ourselves to try and earn the most Smileys as possible during the day! *This is also a
great time to practice our tally mark skills

4. Pulling a Crayon - If a student is not following the rules or decides to make poor choices they will
receive a warning. If the behavior continues they will be asked to move a crayon. All crayons start on
white each day. Students can move from White, to Blue, to Yellow, to red. Students who pull a
crayon will receive a consequence depending on the offense. Parents will always be notified when a
student pulls a crayon.

My goal in having a Positive Action/Behavior Plan is to instill key principles into the lives of these
precious children. I want them to have the desire to always do what is right, to respect authority and
to take responsibility for their actions. Parents and I will work as a team to create the best
environment possible for these kids to grow and become warriors for Christ!
