Term Project Part 4- Individual Portion
A confidence interval is a measure of how confident we are that our sample falls within the range specified.
It tells us how confident we are in our methods. For example, a confidence interval of 95% means that we are
have a confidence level of 95% that the value we are looking for can be found in the range we have provided.
It is not a guess of how many values fall into the range of values we have provided. Our text states that a
confidence interval gives us the success rate for the procedure, not an estimate of how many values are
accurate. It can help us to be informed about the statistics we are exposed to.
