5. Definition: Suppose S is a nonempty set of real numbers. We say that S is bounded above
if and only if there exists b R such that for every s S, s < b.
(a) Using a full sentence, write the negation of the definition of bounded above for a
nonempty set S of real numbers.
S is bounded above if and only if, for every b R, there exists s S such that s > b

(b) Is it possible to find a nonempty set S R which is bounded above but does not contain a maximum value? Explain briefly why not, or give an example.
An example set is
{1/x | x R }
since the set is bounded above by 0, as x approaches negative infinity, without having
a definite maximum value
