This study was conducted on an epoxy floor using the American Slip Meter
(ASM 825). The higher the number, the more slip resistant the floor.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administrations (OSHA) recommendation
for slip resistance of surfaces, is a reading of 0.50 or higher. The Americans
with Disabilities Act recommends floors and walkways have a slip resistance of
0.60 or higher, and 0.80 for ramps, including wheelchair ramps.
As demonstrated in the graph, floors cleaned with Lotus Pro Ozonated water
have a reading of 0.92, greatly exceeding the requirement of the Americans
with Disabilities Act. Floors cleaned with a regular floor cleaner soap have a
reading of 0.54.
Think of it this way, you are greatly reducing the probability of slips
and falls and reducing your exposure to liability.
