To determine the isotherm of this adsorption , Amount absorbed versus

P/Po is plotted.
Po value is taken as the first value of pressure which is 21.1 Torr. So the
values will be :

Figure shows the N2 adsorption isotherm for the pillard clay catalyst at 78
K. The curve corresponds to Type IV isotherm that there actually are
meseporous solids. But at low relative pressures curve shows Type I
(Langmuir) isotherm, this sharp decline corresponds to micropores. These
different step of adsorption could be dure to different size of clay catalysts
in pillars.

q= -m R

m is the slope of Arhenius plot, and R is the universal gas constant which is
62,63x10-3 m3 mm Hg/mol.K .
For Arhenius plot 1/T vs lnP graph is plotted.

The equation of the line is y=3481,2x-18,53 . So the slope of graph

-3481,2 equals to m value.
q = - (3481,2)x(62,63)x(10-3)
q = -218,28.
