THE UNIVERSE FROM A

NO SPACE-TIME, NO MASS-ENERGY
NOTHINGNESS
The pre-Quantum Theory, pre-Relativity Theory
scenariowas something like this:
Mass (of matter) is conserved [matter cannot be
created or destroyed]. Energy (including in the form
of radiation) is conserved.
Charges produce fields and vice versa.
VACUUM then meant empty space, i.e. space and
time regions devoid of any matter (or energy).
Then, startingwith the beginning of the last century,
new developments started to take place, one after
another, as follows:
1) (a) Mass and energy are inter-convertible, (b)
Space And Time form a 4-dimensional continuum,
(c) Given space and time, and sufficient energy,
particle-anti particle pairs can be created from
vacuum. Particles can annihilate with anti
particles and convert to pure radiation (energy).
[SPECIAL THEORYOFRELATIVITY]
2) Time and Energy cannot both be fixed with
complete precision (certainty, accuracy); they

follow the Principle of Indeterminacy; the

uncertainties in time and energy are
complementary, if one is known more accurately,
the other is known less accurately, and vice versa.
Energy can be borrowed from vacuum for a time
(violating the principle of conservation of energy
during that time) ( but in accordance with the
Principle of Indeterminacy) to create virtual
particles (fields, energy)[ which can also change
(SUFFICIENTLY QUICKLY) and fail to disappear
by annihilation, GOING FORWARD IN TIME, if the
dynamics allowed]. [QUANTUMTHEORY]
3) Space-time gets curved in the presence of
gravitational field or matter; the stronger the field,
the greater the curvature. Curved space-times can
form closed universes which are finite but
unbounded. Closed Universes have net zero
energy.
[GENERALTHEORYOFRELATIVITY]
4) Because of the Indeterminacy Principle, the NO
SPACE-TIME, NO MASS-ENERGY NOTHINGNESS
is unstable, and can give rise to tiny closeduniverses lasting for very short times (as
determined by the Indeterminacy Principle). A
zero energy universe can last for an infinitely long
time (as the Indeterminacy Principle allows this).

A zero energy closed universe, when it gets

inflated a hundred-fold can end up like a flat
universe, as we find the universe today.
[QUANTUMTHEORY+GENERAL THEORYOF
RELATIVITY]

In this way, INFLATION,

combined with the
INDETERMINACY
PRINCIPLE, explains our
universe as arising from a no
space-time, no mass-energy
NOTHINGNESS.
