STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITES

2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR

Parents have a major responsibility and role in the success of their child in dance and in the success of the
Schools dance program as a whole. When you register your child in any dance class within the School of
the Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble it means that you are willing to fulfill the following:
1) Make sure that your child attends class regularly and on time
2) Make sure that your child comes dressed appropriately to class:
Girls:
Black body suit (it is important to have one with long sleeves for the winter)
Pink tights
Pink ballet slippers
Plain black t-shirt or black t-shirt with Voloshky School logo (no large or colored t-shirts are
permitted)
A fitted black sweater
Short black dance skirt optional
Pink or black leg warmers
Black character shoes for students in Level 3 and above
Boys:
Plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt with Voloshky School logo
**All t-shirts are to be tucked into the tights, leggings or jazz pants
Thick black tights, black leggings or black jazz pants
Black ballet slippers
A fitted black sweater
Black leg warmers
3) Prepare the necessary costumes your child will need for the performances or pay the necessary
costume rental fee
4) Make sure that your child participates in all scheduled performances and work any
necessary shifts to support the event
5) Call the Voloshky School Office to inform us that your child will be absent from class,
telephone number 215-663-0294, or send an email to voloshky.school@gmail.com
6) Make sure that your child attends all extra classes and rehearsals that may be scheduled
7) Attend Parents Visitation Classes
8) Attend any scheduled Parents Meetings
9) Pay tuition per the required schedule
10) If you have any unreturned costume pieces, you will be responsible for a $200 penalty or your
child may not be permitted to return to the Voloshky School the following year
Be advised that if your child should miss an excessive amount of class time, it will be at the discretion
of the Staff and the School Director whether the child will be able to participate in any given
performance.
Students that are not dressed properly for class will be dismissed and sent to the office for the
duration of the class.

throughout the school year.
