UCLA students arrested in wake of frat party stabbing

Seven college-age individuals, including three UCLA students,

were arrested Monday night after a stabbing occurred at a fraternity

party in Westwood, said the Los Angeles Police Department.

Isaiah Hee Cho of Westminster and Chris Yi of Huntington Beach,

both UCLA students, allegedly stabbed a Lambda Phi Epsilon member

in the stomach after a fight broke out between 8 and 11 p.m., said Sgt.

George Ramos of LAPD. The 19-year-old students were arrested on

suspicion of attempted murder.

Another student, 19-year-old Justin Kim of La Crescenta, was

arrested on suspicion of being an accessory.

According to Police, neighbors called to complain about the loud

noises coming from the Westwood Avenue fraternity house.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the arrested

students were fighting over a woman, said Ramos. This is not the first

time, according to LAPD, that the Lambda Phi Epsilon fraternity has

been reprimanded for disturbances as a result of parties.

The victim, who has yet to be named, is being treated for his

stab wounds at Peck Memorial Hospital and is currently in critical

condition.
