Radio cassette player, replacing

Removal
Removing the radio/carphone
Remove the dashboard environment panel. See
Dashboard environment panel (including climate
control module (CCM)), replacing .
Remove the radio/carphone:
Unscrew the two screws in the lower edge.

Note! Reset the CD mechanism before replacing

the unit.
Hold the radio unit in the same position as when
installed in the vehicle (tilted 15–20°) as
illustrated. See illustration (A).
Reset the CD mechanism by:
- Switch on the ignition
- Disconnect the green connector from the
radio/CD player. Wait 5 seconds
- Reconnect the green connector to the
radio/CD player. The CD player has been
reset
- Wait until no sound is heard from the CD
mechanism.
Remove the cable harness.
Installation
Installing the radio/carphone
Hold the radio unit in the same position as when
installed in the vehicle (tilted 15–20°) when
connecting the connector.
Install:
In reverse order.
Angle the radio and carphone unit in and press
it upwards.

Finishing work, carphone

Check that no diagnostic trouble codes have
been stored during the repair.
Test drive the vehicle. Check that the function of
the engine is OK.
Ordering radio software
Radio HU-411, order software according to:
Order SW .
Radio HU-611, order software according to:
Order SW .
Radio HU-801, order software according to:
Order SW .
Programming the radio control module
Radio HU-411, program the new control module
according to: Load SW .
Radio HU-611, program the new control module
according to: Load SW .
Radio HU-801, program the new control module
according to: Load SW .
Finishing work, radio
Check that no diagnostic trouble codes have
been stored during the repair.
Test drive the vehicle. Check that the function of
the engine is OK.
