    Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad Al-Ghazali was an 11th century Persian theologian and philosopher born in 1058 in Persia. He studied at madrasahs in Gurgan and Nishapur, graduating from the famous Nizamia Madressa in Baghdad where he later taught over 300 students as the chief professor. Al-Ghazali had a brother, daughters, and a son, and was orphaned at a young age but continued his education with the help of his father's friend before passing away in 1111 at age 55 in his birthplace.
