The ancient Hindu texts make mentions that a house where the Swetark Ganesh is worshiped becomes free from poverty, obstacles, quarrels,
horror, and all sorts of negative things. While worshipping Swetark Ganapati, the essential mantras to be chanted are Om Vakratundaya Namaha
and Om Shree Ganesh Namah.
These Ganesh idols were made by Thanjavur artists. Agastaya (Guru of gurus, Name of a wise man) 7 B.C is one of the Saptarishi (Seven sages) is
also the author of Agastya Samhita. 'Siddha medicine system is believed to have been handed over to him by Lord Murugan. Agastya followers
had written the scriptures of the Rig Veda. The tree named after Augustus/Agastya Tree. King Augustus is named after Agastya.
Agastya had written the importance of Tella Jilledu in his book. Ancient scriptures quoted Ganesha lives in Tella Jilledu root. Ganesha loves the
flowers of Tella Jilledu.
Note: Before worship Tella Jilledu Ganesh, have bath and do abhisheka (puja) with milk and sandal water and then dhoop / incense deep
sticks.
