Richard Allen is Professor and Chair of Cinema
Studies at New York University. He is the author
of Projecting Illusion (1995), Hitchcock's Romantic
Irony (2007) and co-author of lslamicate Cultures
of Bombay Cinema (2009). He has also published
six anthologies on Film theory and Aesthetics, and
the films of Hitchcock.
