1 Scope
1A Tris document specifies the cifforent types of inspection documents supplied to the purchaser, in
accordance with the requitemonts of the ordor, for the daiivory of all meiallic products og, plates, sheets, bars,
forgings, castings, whatover thor mothod of production,

conditions of the products.

Document in which the manufacturer declares that the products supslied are in compliance with the requirements
of the order and in which he supplies test results based an non-specific inspection

4.1. Inspection certificate 3.4 “type 3.1”
Document issued by the manufacture: in which he declares that the products supplied are in complance with the
requiremonte of tho ardor and in whiet ho cupplios tost results.
The test unit and the tests to be cariied out are defined by the product specification, the offcial regulation end
corresponding rules andor the orcer

4.2. Inspection certificate 3.2 “type 3.2"

designated by the official regulations and in which they declare that the products supplied are in compiance with
the requirements of the order and in waich test results are supplied,

traceability procedures ang can prove the corresponding inspection documents required.
5 Validation and transmission of inspection documents
The inspection document shall be validated by the rasponcible porson(s) (name and postion).

6 Transmission of inspection documents by an intermediary
‘An intermediary shall enly pass on either an orginal or a copy of the inspection documents provided by the
manufacturer without any alteration. This documentation shall be acecmpanied by suitable means of identification
of the product, in order to ensure the traceability between the product and the documentation.
Copying of the original dacument is permitted, provided that:
— traceability procedures are operated;
the original documents available on request.
When producing copies it is permissible to replace tne information on the original delivered quantity by tne actual

Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential
Requirements of EU Directive 97/23/EC
Tris Europoan Standard has been prepared under a mandate givon to CEN by the European Commiissicn to
provide a means of conforming to Essential Requirements of tho Now Approach Directivo 97/2SIEC of the
yropean Parliament and the Council of 29 May 1997 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States
concerning pressure equipment
Once this standard Is citec in the Offical Joumal of the European Union under that Directive and has been
Implemented as a rational standard in al least one Member State, compliance with the Clauses of this standard
given in Table ZA.1 confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the
Corresponding Essential Raquiraments cf that Dirazive and associated EFTA regulations.
