    The Bamford Classification of Stroke categorizes strokes into 5 types based on their symptoms and signs: total anterior circulation syndrome (TACS) with motor/sensory deficits and cognitive impairments; partial anterior circulation syndrome (PACS) with two symptoms of TACS or monoplegia; lacunar syndrome (LACS) with isolated motor/sensory deficit; posterior circulation syndrome (POCS) involving visual or cranial nerve issues with contralateral symptoms; and primary intracerebral hemorrhage (PICH) based on average infarct size for each type.
