Course Objectives
The main objective of this course is to acquaint students with the
mathematical methods that are used for decision-making in
Management and Economics. After getting a grasp on these tools,
students will be taught the application of these tools in the real
business world. During the process of learning Business Mathematics,
it will be seen that students develop their skills of mathematical
operations, calculations, analytical and graphical solution techniques &
their analyses. Furthermore, students will have an opportunity to
develop team spirit, self-motivation, and self-confidence over the
period of this course.

Course Policies

ULAB rules and regulations will be followed in conducting all


exams and evaluating answer scripts and grading.
Failing to attend 6 or more classes in the semester will result in
an F grade.
Late submission of assignments will have a negative impact on
marks.
Plagiarism will NOT be tolerated. However, it is STRONGLY
encouraged that students interact with each other and discuss
ideas and course materials amongst themselves.
No make-up for quizzes will be offered.
In the event of some emergency in which a student is unable to
take either the midterm or the final exam, he/she will need to
inform the course teacher as soon as possible about the
situation. The course teacher will then arrange for some
alternative. Please bear in mind that only one make-up exam per
semester is allowed.
