DocumentPremise
A. This document represents a universal rules update for all MES chronicles and
venues. This document updates XP rulesfoundinFocusnWoD, Masquerade,
Apocalypse, and Accord genres upon its effective date of implementation. XP
Rules not mentioned are unchanged from their respective addenda. This is
being done to standardize MES practice and lower the barrier of entry forall
playersintheMES.
B. This presentation method waschosen due to time constraints on the calendar
year,ascomparedtotheslowworkofactualrulesupdates. Theseruleswillbe
addedtoallMESaddendabyJune1,2015.

A. Event Experience points are awarded for special events that occur within the year. XP

awarded for these events follow the standard game limits below, but have an additional
awardaboveandbeyondthemonthlycap.
1. Example:AtaregionalconventioninJune,thePrimarySTawardsthefullXPper
gamesessionforRequiem(6persession),whichgoestowardstheJunemonthly
XPcap.Shealsoawards4EventXPfortheconvention,whichistracked
separatelyfromthemonthlyXPawards.
TheyearlycaponEventXPis20percalendaryear.EachEventXPawardshouldbe
trackedseparatelyfrommonthlytotalsinthecharactersXPLog.
EventswhichcanawardEventXPareasfollows:
1. Eachregionmayhost,withRSTapproval,twelveFeaturedGamesoftheMonth
pervenue,peryear.Theseeventsaretypicallyhostedbyasingledomain.These
eventsareworth3EventXP,aboveandbeyondthenormalgameXPawards.
2. RegionallyhostedconventionsrunthroughtheMESNCAorNMMofficeareworth

StorytellersfortheEventmayclaimEventXPontheircharacters.
AllawardsprevioustoJanuary1,2015,areupdatedandbackdatedtotheaboveawards
forallvenuesunlessthepreviousindividualawards(suchasApocalypseorAccord)or
yearlycap(suchasAccord)washigher,inwhichcasepreviousawardsaregrandfathered.

AcceleratedGrowthRate

theirownXPawardswiththeseguidelinesasasstandardminimums.
2. TheXPFloorisloweredto5xpamonthstartingJanuary1,2015.Previous
awardsaregrandfathered.ToaccountforthehigherXPpriortothisdate,thefloor
beginsonJanuary1,2015at140xp(representing7xpamonthpriortothisdate).
3. HigherFloorXPatcharactercreationduetoHerosWalkisgrandfathered.Heros
WalkAwardsmovingforwardare7xp/monthofchronicleinsteadof5.

previousmonthfromattendinggamesandsubmittingdowntimes,their
earnedXPforthepreviousmonthissetto3XP.IfXPisbackdatedforthat
month,thisisrecalculated.NewPCsstartwith3XPpermonthof
chronicle,startingwithMay,2013.
b) Forcharacterswhowerecreatedsincethestartofchronicle,theymay
taketheirearnedXP,subtractedfromtheXPfloor,andaddittotheir
charactersheets.Iftheresultisanegativevalue,itisignored.
(1) Example1:TheXPfloorasofJanuary1,2015is60xp.Sally
Playerhasbeeninplayfor4months,havingearned70XP
throughAGR.Withanetresultof10,sheaddsnoXP.
(2) Example2:TheXPfloorasofJanuary1,2015is60XP.Joe
Playerhasbeeninplay2months,havingearned40xpthrough
AGR.Withanetresultof20XP,headdsthisvaluetohisXPlog.

WerewolftheApocalypse
A. SpecialNote:AsWtAstillusestheoldLotW/METrules,whichhaveaflatcostforalltraits,
theXPrulesarenotcurrentlybeingupdatedtoamorestandardmonthlylimit(read:higher
toaccommodategraduatedcosts)format.ThiswillberevisitedduringanypotentialBNS
conversationstooccurinthefuture.Whileeaseofreferencewasconsidered,anincrease
ofover50%ofmonthlyXPawardswasdeemedinadvisableunderthecurrentrulesset.
ThusthemonthlyXP,MCXP,andXPFloorallremainasnotedintheWtAaddendum,
thoughtheXPfloornowgoesbacktoMay2013.TheCCDDandEventXParechangedas
notedabove..
B. AcceleratedGrowthRate
1. Apocalypse,asnotedabove,nowmakesuseoftheAGRsystem.Thissystemis
theexactsameaspresentedabove,withtheloweredvalueof12xppermonthcap
underAGRinsteadof20xp.
