WHO IS A SCHOOL SOCIAL


WORKER?

School social workers are


licensed professionals who
provide a variety of services to
students, families, schools, and
the community. Working with
parents/guardians, teachers,
and other school staff, school
social workers intervene to
identify and eliminate barriers
to students academic
achievement and their healthy
social-emotional development.

University of Missouri
Experience with pre-k to
high school students
Grew up in the southwest
suburbs of Chicago

working with Foster
