    It
    was not a normal trip,
    because they decided to sail from Miami to the island. It was going to be a two week
    trip. My sister, Cassie, and I didnt want to leave the comfort of our home or our
    friends. We were going to miss a lot of fun.
    The day of the trip arrived, and we boarded a small sailboat. My parents had made test
    trips for a week. Everything was ready. The first night my dad told us to look at the
    sky. We could see hundreds of bright stars; it was amazing! My mom told us about the
    many constellations in the sky.
    During the day, dad taught us how to sail and how to navigate. Many times we
    stopped the sailboat and jumped into the sea to swim. We saw a lot of colorful fish.
    One day we even had the company of a group of dolphins!
    We worked as a team: my dad was the captain of the ship, my mom prepared delicious
    food for the family, and Cassie and I helped to clean the boat. We had so much fun.
    After two weeks, we arrived in Puerto Rico.
