Scientology

History:

Established by L. Ron Hubbard (college dropout, two marriages

failed, found success writing pulp or science fiction in 1954)

Goals:

To spread true enlightenment and freedom for all

To teach about learning to do things to improve conditions in ones
life

Beliefs:

Scientology concentrates more on psychological technologies that

people can use to make their lives better (applied religious
philosophy)
Does not have formal doctrines and creeds like many religions
Scientology believes in God but has very little to say about it
Scientology focuses on humanitys soul and spiritual awareness

Practices:

A scientologist actively applies the insights/knowledge that

scientology teaches them in order to make a positive difference in
the lives of others
Scientology has no rules for diet and does not forbid smoking or
drinking
