Position Paper

House Bill No. 11, also known as the Filipino Identification system
Act, seeks to provide a simpler operation and system in transacting whether
in private and public services in our country, and this would also diminish or
solve the red tape problem. This act will set or have every Filipino citizen to
own this Filipino ID. We all know that not all Filipino citizens have their own
identification card, including some people who are unemployed or those
who are in the underground economy. With H.B. No. 11, it is everyones
privilege to have a national ID which would be helpful and give benefits not
only to them, but to our country as a whole. This would give numerous
advantages to us.
Having this ID would make our transactions in public or private
uncomplicated because this ID will contain all the needed information of the
owner. It is valid and accepted in many agencies which include GSIS, LTO
and SSS. Therefore, there would be no struggle to the ones who gives the
service. And it will benefit us because we wouldnt have to carry many IDs
with us, because this official ID of the Filipinos will do. This ID will also be
valid for at least ten years so we will never have to worry for renewing
numerous times in the usual intricate procedures.
