SRO AUDITION PREP DAY

for Northern Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra

PARTICIPANTS: Any high school student who plays a string instrument and is planning on auditioning for this
year's Northern Virginia Senior Regional Orchestra will want to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to
improve their skills for this audition. Students will get the chance to go through all aspects of the audition, from the
excerpts, to the scales, to the sight reading, and even the mindset of the audition process.

COACHES FOR NoVa SRO PREP DAY 2015:

Violin Allison Bailey, Orchestra director of TJHSST Orchestras, associate concertmaster of the Fairfax Symphony
Viola Patricia Plombon, private teacher and free-lance violist
Cello David Cho, private teacher, member of the International Chamber Orchestra of Washington, and free-lance cellist
Bass Barbara Fitzgerald, private teacher, creator and instructor of Basstravaganza, and free-lance bassist

SPONSORED BY: The Virginia String Teachers Association, which is the state chapter of the American String
Teachers Association, an organization devoted to furthering fine string playing and teaching in our nation.

REGISTRATION FEE FOR SRO PREP DAY: The cost for this three-hour session will be $15 for students of
VASTA Members, and $20 for students of non-members.

REGISRATION: Deadline for postmarked mail-in registrations will be Friday, September 11th. HOWEVER, WE WILL
BE ACCEPTING WALK-INS ON REGISTRATION DAY STARTING AT 8:30AM, but it is advised that you pre-register.
To pre-register, complete the attached enrollment form.
