Levitating House

Air Danshin has created a floating house to decrease the drastic

effects of earthquake tremors on infrastructure. The floating
system works on shock absorbers that sense tremors and
immediately inflate and the house ascends 3 cm above the
ground.

Light walls

Pakistan has designed houses that have walls made of straw.

The walls consist of bales of straw that are sandwiched
together using plastering. These do not kill when they collapse
onto people.

Light roof and Small

windows

Haiti has transitioned from concrete roofs to sheet metal roofs

as a significant amount of people died because of concrete
bricks.
Furthermore they have smaller windows because they create

Shock absorbers

In Indonesia tires filled with sand and stones are used as shock
absorbers. These tyres are then placed onto the ground and are
fastened to the foundation.

Reinforced walls

Peru has reinforced their walls using mesh as this limits the
probability of someone being hit by a brick. Reinforcing rods
made from bamboo wood are also used.
