Sling Colour Code

Lifting equipment is required to have color codes painted on components and tags every six months, with different color codes used in odd and even years. After inspection, the old color code must be changed and the new valid code applied. The lifting inspector will note the color codes on equipment and indicate them on the inspection certificate.

A colour code shall be use every six (6) months for all Lifting Equipments.

Applicable colour codes are used every Odd & Even Years.
The old colour codes shall be changed out after the Inspection Period,
allowing the new valid colour code to be applied.
Colour codes shall be painted on Pad Eyes, Shackles and Center and
Master Links and as well Tags for Nylon Slings.
The Lifting Inspector shall note colour codes and indicate on the Test
Certificate.
