Verb: a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence,


and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence

Dependent Clause: a phrase that cannot stand alone as its own


sentence. It must be connected to an independent clause.

Independent Clause: a complete sentence, must contain a


subject and a verb.
